4:38PM - Why Humans Outlive Apes

Or, yet another reason why bacon is part of a healthy diet.
Genetic changes that apparently allow humans to live longer than any other primate may be rooted in a more carnivorous diet.
These changes may also promote brain development and make us less vulnerable to diseases of aging, such as cancer, heart disease and dementia.

2:11AM - Wow.

This is TRULY one of the most pathetic things I've ever heard.   If you refuse to have sex with somebody SOLELY based on their stance on this atrocious health care bill, you are a MORON.

Just when every tactic in the book had been seemingly exhausted in the health care debate, Rock the Vote comes along with a new one: if you want health care reform, don't sleep with anyone who opposes it until his or her mind is changed.  The youth advocacy group is pushing the campaign in a Web video and pledge on its Web site, which asks supporters to "hold out" for health care.  The subtlety of the online pledge, though, is completely undone by the video, which employs zero rhetorical devices, except for a couple of bleeps, to get its message bluntly across.  "We pledge ourselves to the health and liberty of young Americans and to government for the people ... and to never f---ing you if you are against us," the team of actors in the video says.  "We will vote against you, work against you, and once again, just in case you forgot, never ever, never ever, never ever, never ever f--- you."  The video was produced by comedy site FunnyorDie.com, the site that promoted "Obama Girl" and her raunchy videos in support of Barack Obama during the 2008 presidential campaign.  But while that site often posts satire videos, Rock the Vote is collecting signatures for the "hold out" for health care campaign on its own site.  Rock the Vote President Heather Smith said in a written statement that the group is just trying to remind young people "they have a stake and a say" in the health care debate.  "Young people are the most uninsured age group in America and are living and dying with this issue every day," she said. "And we need to keep rocking the vote so that politicians pay attention."

The video features actress Eva Amurri from the show "Californication" and Zach Gilford from "Friday Night Lights." Article here.

8:39PM - I love rare steak and I love fried spam / cooking with red onion wine

There are no better brunch than one that includes pan-fried slices of spam, it's so trashy but delicious, eaten with buttered toast and/or pan-fried potatoes, maybe an egg, and coffee/tea. There is also the option of adding it to a bowl of ramen noodles, crack an egg into the bowl, then cook the egg by pouring boiling water over it. Some Hong Kong-style 'tea cafes/diners', offers the noodle and spam and egg for breakfast, though it's not always pan-fried.

What I love for dinner, would be a piece of rare steak, brown on the outside, bleeds when you cut it, tender and juicy. Marinate it in red onion wine, maybe eat it with red onion wine. You can make red onion wine by simply adding a large peeled and chopped onion to a jar about the size of the miracle whip jar (which is what we use), and then fill it to the top with red wine. A mouthful a day is good for your eyes. In addition to steak, it's also good in minestrone soup, throw the onions in!

7:02PM

Hello one and all! Haven't seen a good discussion in this community for a while, so I thought I'd try and stir the pot.

How many of you have already volunteered to help at least one campaign during next year's midterm elections? Have you helped raise any funds to go to candidates or PACs to promote the cause of freedom or liberty? What have you done to educate and organize the folks in your area?

When the teacher asked her second grade class to draw something that reminds them of Christmas, one little boy drew this...
